Welding capability is a complex technological characteristic of steel, which reflects its reaction to the thermal and metallurgical action of the welding process and also determines the relative suitability of this steel for obtaining a welded joint with specified properties when applying technologically advanced welding processes and welding materials. The main indicators of the ability to weld are the possibility and conditions of obtaining operationally welded joints (preventing the formation of hot and cold cracks, pores, obtaining the specified mechanical properties or chemical composition and physical properties)[1, p. 17].
